NHL Tape Jobs

Tape Your Hockey Stick Blade Like Connor McDavid

We are going to review how you can tape your hockey stick blade using the same method as the most electrifying player in hockey, Connor McDavid.

Materials Needed

The first thing needed is the hockey stick. The hockey stick I used is the CCM Jetspeed with the P92 curve. It is similar to the one used by Connor McDavid, but the paddle is smaller than the one McDavid uses and it is not quite as square.

The only other thing we need is some 1 and a half inch white hockey cloth tape. For this, we went with the renfrow brand as I have found that it does not leave that annoying residue that some other cloth tapes leave on the stick blade.

Also, an additional thing you may want is scissors if you struggle with ripping the tape.

Before you put this together, here are the key components of his tape job:

And that is it! Now that you have a McDavid tape job on your paddle, go score some goals!
