Warrior Covert QRL Pro Stock Gloves Review
Mattias Janmark's Vegas Golden Knights Pro Stock Gloves — 6 Months In
Overview: 14-inch Warrior Covert QRL gloves in Vegas Golden Knights colorway, Mattias Janmark's pro stock pair. Tapered fit, built-in shot blockers/slash guards, and digital palms (no standard inlay). After 6 months of game use, here's the full verdict.
Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Comfort out of the box. The tapered fit and overall construction mold to your hands almost immediately. Little to no break-in time needed — they're ready to go.
- Excellent grip without sacrificing feel. The palms provide solid stick grip without deadening your feel for the puck. That's a hard balance to hit, and these nail it.
- Superior protection. The built-in shot blockers / slash guards add a meaningful layer of protection that standard gloves don't provide. These hands are covered.
❌ Cons
- Minor: The tapered fit is tight around the wrist — wearing an Apple Watch or similar wearable under the cuff is difficult. Not a big deal for most players.
- Major: The digital palms are extremely comfortable but sacrifice durability. No reinforced inlay means they wear out faster than a standard palm. If you're playing frequently, plan to replace these within 6 months.
The Verdict After 6 Months
The decision after 6 months was simple: buy another pair. The palm durability issue was acknowledged and accepted — these gloves were worth buying a second time. The mobility, comfort, and protection they provide are well above anything comparable in the past.
Final Grade: A-
Far superior mobility and protection across the board. The only reason it drops from an A is the palm durability. If you play less frequently, this might not even be a factor for you — in which case, these are straight A gloves.
