1. Start at the toe and tape toward the heel (toe-to-heel).
2. White 1.5-inch tape, nearly the entire blade covered, minimal overlap.
3. Tapes all the way to the beginning of the heel — nearly the full blade.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Starting on the backhand side near the toe, begin at the top of the blade and wrap straight down the forehand side of the toe, nearly flush with the edge. Come up the backhand side, completely covering the starting point.
2. Back to the front — bring the tape down at an angle toward the heel. With the P29 curve, press down any excess tape near the toe for trimming later.
3. Keep overlap minimal as you work toward the heel. Matthews tapes nearly the entire blade, so tape all the way to the start of the heel.
4. On the last backhand pass, pull tape back to align with the top of the previous pass. Rip or cut at the top.
5. Trim any tape hanging off the toe with scissors.
